Mass Effect 3 at EA conference.

What a way to start the show. Earth is under full scale attack by the repears and it doesn’t look like things are going well for us. The trailer opened with a live action “news report” showing the attack getting underway.

There was talk of the game being a final part of the trilogy before we got to see a live gameplay demo as Shephard attempted to destroy a Reaper base. The Normandy is back and the game looks absolutely gorgeous.

As the demo continues we learn that the base was actually a live Reaper which Shephard fought from a mounted turret on a vehicle. The scale is far beyond anything that has been in any of the other Mass Effect titles. Not much in the way of mechanics was actually shown off. The release date of the game was confirmed as the sixth of March.
