YoutubeBioware has just announced a large story based DLC pack for Dragon Age 2. The pack explores the history of the Hawke family and will feature all new areas, so no more of those identical caves or warehouses. A demo that was shown on the 360 let us see Hawke and the party half way through a Grey Warden prison tower and doing battle with some new Darkspawn, including one using a massive shield to try and keep itself safe from Hawke.
The demo also showed an encounter with a mini-boss that will apparently but up quite a stiff challenge on any difficulty above casual. The end result of the fight was Hawke gaining access to a series of pillars which conferred a special bonus toa weapon which also functioned as a key for puzzles in the DLC, the weapon can be used outside the pack. It will be out on July the 26th.
