So how about Modern Warfare 3 modes other than TDM?

Modern Warfare 3 comes out next week and that means a lot of people are going to be spending a lot of time playing the multiplayer modes shipping with the game. Granted, not all that many of those people will venture outside of TDM and domination but Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer have put in a raft of new modes that noone will ever play. They have also introduced the ability for players to create their own modes which such suit all those MLG-types who like to go on about balance and all that. Here’s a video explaining some of the new stuff:

This video confirms that my new favourite thing about the Call of Duty series is that the guy saying “kill confirmed” sounds like Beavis doing his Cornholio voice; Tango Suckah has been replaced. Kill Confirmed also sounds like a solid mode and should lead to some more considered play. In general the footage looks good, probably surprisingly so given the circumstances of the games development. There’s exactly a week to go until we know just how the latest iteration of the biggest gaming series ever has gone and if the Zampella and West controversy will have noticeably hurt the game.
