Mass Effect 3 is set to get a demo come the 14th of February. The demo will let you play through the initial stage of the game which shows off the Reaper attack on Earth, a portion of the game that has been shown off several times and also featured in the leaked beta which came out some months ago. You will also have a chance to play some of the games wave based multiplayer but will be locked out of that part of the demo until the seventeenth unless you have registered an online pass for Battlefield 3.
The games executive producer, Casey Hudson, said that “we are excited to be able to give gamers an expansive demo that will put them right on the front lines of this all-out galactic war” which hopefully means that the demo is long and gives us a good look at what to expect from the full game on the ninth of March. The demo will also unlock some items and weapons for use in Kingdom’s of Amalur: Reckoning, just as the demo for that game (which launched yesterday) unlocks armour and weapons in Mass Effect 3.
