Sep 13, 2009 at 17:24 Forget movies, if there's one medium Video games get unfairly treated in,its television.Over the past few years there has been a number of Video game magazine-type shows but none have really done gaming justice.
However, BBC4 has announced recently that Charlie Brooker review show Gameswipe is set to go ahead and will air during its technology season in Autumn. The format will be similiar to Brooker's previous works, Screenwipe and Newswipe which will cater to gaming. Brooker has had a history with the video game industry, having worked on PC Zone magazine in the 90's and also slipping in segments revolving around gaming in Screenwipe.
The show is set to air for a 50 minute special in which its success will determine if the series will go ahead.
He said to "Expect pixels, joypads, some of the world's weirdest games, celebrity cameos and the occasional sound effect.”
If its anything like his previous series,this is great news. Be afraid fanboys!
