When Roger Ebert stated that video games could not be art back in 2006, it sparked a frenzy among gamers everywhere. Countless threads, articles and discussions debated whether his statement was accurate, or if he was just misinformed. And while there was never a satisfactory conclusion to the argument, there was one thing that remained clear, games inspire art.
The following is a collection of videos featuring speed paintings of some of the most recognised game characters today. What's even more amazing, they were all done in one sitting.
Metal Gear Solid - Old Snake
Legend of Zelda - Link
Halo - Master Chief
Metroid - Samus
World of Warcraft - Litch King
Mass Effect - Turian
Fallout - Enclave Soldier
Final Fantasy X - Yuna
